Reyes-Housholder, Catherine

Doctora (PhD) en Gobierno, Cornell University, EE.UU. Master of Arts de la misma casa de estudios. Su área de especialización es política comparada y su foco regional es América Latina. Investiga temas relacionados a la presidencia y el género, y usa métodos estadísticos, experimentales, e históricos.

Su tesis de doctorado “Presidentas, Power and Pro-Women Change” ganó el premio de la Asociación Americana de Ciencia Política (APSA) para mejor tesis en la categoría de mujeres y política. Ha publicado artículos en las revistas Comparative Politics, Political Research Quarterly, Latin American Politics and Society, Politics, Groups and Identities, Journal of Politics in Latin America, y Revista de Ciencia Política. También ha publicado seis capítulos en libros editados.

Ha recibido apoyo financiero de Fondecyt, Fulbright-Hays, APSA, y del Centro de Estudio de Conflicto de Cohesión Social (COES), donde también es investigadora asociada. Es miembro de la Red de Politólogas.
